Starting out as a demonstration area for all the wonderful coffee machines that Salt and Pepper sells, customers were enticed by its warm and friendly atmosphere. It grew into a large and successful coffee shop and restaurant with a super continental-style roof terrace, (hopefully) sunny courtyard and kerbside tables, offering a menu with locally sourced ingredients.

Locally ground coffee or tea can be accompanied by cakes and scones, freshly made on the premises, including Gluten Free alternatives.

The coffee shop is fully licenced, so why not enjoy a cheeky glass of wine, prosecco or even champagne. Peroni and local cider is also available.

Sample Menu

Full English /Vegetarian breakfast served until 12noon

Bacon, sausage, grilled tomato, field mushroom, black pudding, poached or fried egg and toast

Veggie sausages, sauté potatoes, grilled tomato, field mushroom, poached or fried egg and toast

All Day Brunch

Toast with butter or/and either jam, honey, marmalade or marmite

Avocado on sourdough toast & home-made chilli jam

Eggs Benedict with ham on an English muffin with hollandaise sauce

Eggs Royale: salmon on an English muffin with hollandaise sauce

Eggs Benedict with field mushrooms

Free-range eggs on toast (fried or poached )

The Reuben house speciality - New York Deli-style toasted sandwich, In-house Salt beef brisket, jack cheese, sauerkraut and Russian dressing on white bloomer - served with salad, slaw, crisps and house pickles
