Starting out as a demonstration area for all the wonderful coffee machines that Salt and Pepper sells, customers were enticed by its warm and friendly atmosphere. It grew into a large and successful coffee shop and restaurant with a super continental-style roof terrace, (hopefully) sunny courtyard and kerbside tables, offering a menu with locally sourced ingredients.

Locally ground coffee or tea can be accompanied by cakes and scones, freshly made on the premises, including Gluten Free alternatives.

The coffee shop is fully licenced, so why not enjoy a cheeky glass of wine, prosecco or even champagne? Beer and local cider is also available.

All Day Full English Breakfast - Two free range eggs (poached or fried), bacon, farmhouse sausage, field mushroom & toast

Avocado on English muffin & home-made chilli jam

Eggs Benedict - poached eggs & ham on an English muffin with hollandaise sauce

Miner's Eggs Benedict - poached eggs & black pudding on an English muffin with hollandaise sauce

Eggs Royale - poached eggs & salmon on an English muffin with hollandaise sauce

Mushroom Eggs Benedict - poached eggs & field mushrooms. on an English muffin with hollandaise sauce

Free-range Eggs on Toast (fried or poached )

Grilled Field Mushrooms on Toast (Vegan)

Toast with Butter and/or jam, honey, marmalade or marmite

Welsh Rarebit - a rich topping of cheese on toast with mustard & dark ale, served with apple chutney & salad garnish 

Oven Baked Jacket Potatoes with various fillings - served with salad garnish, honey & mustard dressing

Homemade Chilli Jacket - with either Local Beef Chilli OR Three Bean Chilli (Vegan, GF)

Middle Eastern Beetroot Falafel - flat bread topped with smoked aubergine dip, grilled beetroot falafel, mixed leaves & house pickles. Dressed with garlic & lemon yoghurt, chilli oil & dukka

Smoked Salmon & Lemon - served with avocado, boiled egg & mixed leaves with a honey & mustard dressing

Ham - served with avocado, boiled egg & mixed leaves with a honey & mustard dressing

Nachos - Tortilla chips loaded with melted cheese, salsa rossa, salsa verde, yoghurt alioli, house pickles & jalapenos
